And it can only mean one thing, Odinfist is hitting up the town of Armstrong once again (well they practically own the place don't they?).

This Friday (yes, the 28th of May) at the Branding Iron, and they're bringing some brutal friends of theirs, Enslaved By Humans!

Show starts at 8:30, admission is only 5 clams at the door. No, not literally clams tardo!

There will also be BRAND SPANKING NEW shirts for sale going for $15, on top of drink specials, and it's all that you mofucks can hear a brand new song too!

Damn, someone should pick me up a shirt while their at it, and a beer too pl0x.
After this its off to the big Vancity, then they're heading over to our neighbors to entertain those flatlanders -erm- Albertans..

The Final Fist 2009

One of the Armstrong's local bands Odinfist is getting ready to play their final show of the year before settling down and finishing their next album, "We Are Gods".

So they're doing it with a bang to try and support their album.

The Final Fist 2009 will be held at House Odinfist, now here's the twist. It's going to be a fundraiser show to help Odinfist get some money for making their album...and they need gas money I suppose.

So bring your bottles! Odinfist has said that its perfectly acceptable to steal bottles from neighbors and relatives as a means of bringing as many bottles as you can. They will also be playing some songs from the new album that has yet to be shown to the public. Plus there's always the wicked after party!

Be there, November 28th, 8:35 PM @ House Odinfist. Need directions? Go send Odinfist or Valstar a message on facebook, because I have no idea where it is.

Do This Quick Survey!

I'm doing a project in Entrepreneurship 12 right now where I'm writing a business plan for a 'Custom Rock Shop'. Shirts and shit will be made like they would at a Bang On (only better), so it would be done by heat transfer.
The graphics and/or lettering will all be done custom though, drawn or painted up by a artist or team of artists employed by me.

Right now I'm doing research for it, and collecting info and demographics, all that fun shit.

Okanagan Onslaught Tour

Armstrong/Vernon thrashers Maelstrom will be teaming up with Yukon's Sanktuary, Edmonton's The Order of Chaos, and Nihlus.

So far there are 5 show dates, all start at 8PM and tickets are all $5 at the door!

Metal Mondays and Bloodloss

Monday night at 11PM, 101.7 CHLY is the radio station to be tuned to for sure! Apparently Bloodloss "talks dirty". Who knows?

This station is doing so good shit and interviewing some good people. Lets keep the metal tunes rolling on air!

And hey, if you have a CD you can send it in to them and quite possibly score yourself some airtime, or even better. Why not shoot for an interview on the air?

Something Is Missing..

Things take time to improve and become more effective, I know this. There is a lot that can be added or changed to make this blog better, and I want to make as many improvements as I can in the early development stages of this blog. Without having to bring out my wallet, of course.

So I need some help, the help of all you fucking awesome BC metalheads, and even those viewers simply passing by.

What do you think this blog needs? How can I make this the best blog, to better support the best music?
Getting better content and more updates will come naturally with time, but what are the missing elements?

Maelstrom

North Okanagan's Maelstrom is still looking for a new rhythm guitarist.
They want someone that can play and keep a tight rhythm but can pull off into a lead part for the odd guitar harmony.
This would be an awesome position for any of you bandless players looking for a good band to get into!

Another Quick Odinfirst Update

Jesse Valstar, bassist of Odinfist, has said it on all our myspace (which can be found here).

Odinfist will be playing a couple more shows before they hit the studio to record their second album, 'We Are Gods'.

They are expecting to release it by March 14th, 2010.

Odinfist Update

To start this blog off, I think it's appropriate to take a look at the band that's becoming the savior of the soon-to-be Okanagan Metal scene.

That band is Odinfist!

There is still no apparent word of when their new EP will be finished and released.

An interview with Jesse Valstar (bassist) will come shortly.

In the mean time, if you're cruising around Kelowna you might as well catch Odinfist live!
October 3rd @ The Kelowna Club - 7PM is when it all goes down.
They will be joined by Bloodloss, Sarcophagus, and Pain Reborn.
Tickets are $10 at the door.
